Abrahamson Vorachek & Levinson is a premier boutique firm specializing in employment law, recently rated in Chambers USA as the leading plaintiff’s employment firm in Illinois. Ms. Abrahamson was personally rated by Chambers as the second top plaintiff’s employment attorney in Illinois. She was featured in the March 2002 issue of Chicago Magazine as one of the “30 Toughest Lawyers” in Chicago. She is a founding governor and fellow of the College of Labor & Employment Lawyers, a national organization of her peers which elected her to its membership because of her extensive knowledge and integrity. Ms. Abrahamson served as president of the college in 2000 and remains a member of the board of governors. For several years, she was the sole plaintiff’s member appointed to the prestigious Council of the Section of Labor & Employment Law of the American Bar Association. She chairs the section’s International Labor and Employment Law Committee.

Ms. Abrahamson and the firm have successfully mediated, arbitrated, and tried a number of cases in Illinois, including Stone v. National Interchem (1993) (claim for commissions under an employment agreement); Archibald v. Illinois Department of Corrections (1997) (race discrimination); and Eichler v. Riddell Inc. (1997) (jury verdict for plaintiff on age discrimination claim; award of compensatory damages, over $400,000 in front pay and attorneys fees).
